When a client gets satisfied with someone’s service, she would be delighted to offer a tip to show their appreciation for the job. This is the best way to acknowledge great work, and most of the time, employees who receive the tipping do the work a lot better next time. They would be happy to serve the same client again and deliver a better service again. Tipping might be a common gesture of appreciation, but it can be a huge source of encouragement to many service providers.
Tipping is also a popular topic in the moving industry. Since professional movers come to your property and do every hard and heavy work in your place, great service from them deserves a gesture of appreciation. Tipping your moving company comes with no rules, but you should know the basic etiquette when appreciating workers. 

1. You can offer drinks, snacks, or any food. While some movers will be happy to accept any amount of tips from their clients, other big companies don’t encourage the idea of accepting tips. If you hire one of these companies, you can show your appreciation through other ways, such as serving them food, drinks, or any food that is best for the time and weather. Since moving is a hefty task, it can exhaust them and they will need to recharge their energy to keep going. It would be great if your movers don’t have to worry about where to buy or get their foods because you have them ready for their consumption.
2. Your tip can be a big help for movers with lesser salaries. Small moving companies offer lesser salaries to their employees, and that’s common in the industry. With your tip, you are giving an extra income to those professional movers who are being paid lower salaries by their company. Your small tip can go a long way because these movers understand that any amount of money is very valuable.
3. There is no established amount when giving a tip. If you are worried about whether you are giving the right amount as a tip to your professional mover team, it should not be an issue for you. There is no specific amount when tipping the employees. You can choose to give 5% of the total bill, or you can offer them as much as 15% of your bill. It depends on you and how satisfied with their service. If you want to double your charges and give the half as their tip because you are very happy with the service they provided, that’s totally fine.
4. Give the tip individually. Though there are no rules with your tipping amount, it’s best to give them individually than give a lump sum amount to their group leader. When you offer the tip to each worker, they don’t have to worry about sharing the amount later and you are confident that everyone gets a fair share. You can give $20 to $30 to each mover, or you can increase or decrease the amount, depending on the number of movers and how long did it take to complete the work. Use your judgment when tipping the service provided for you.
5. Tipping is not compulsory. You can decide to offer a tip or not, and the decision solely depends on you as a client. If you are satisfied with the service, it will be a great idea to offer some tips for your moving team for their great work. If you did not include the tipping in your moving budget, a simple thank you or a treat of snacks would be a good idea. Don’t pressure yourself to offer a tip because these professional movers are already paid for the service that they will deliver to you. Tipping will only serve as a bonus if they do their job well.
Tipping your team for the moving services they delivered is a good idea, and it can turn you into their favorite client. Whether it is a minimal amount, your professional movers will be happy to serve you again and deliver a far better performance.
